Mercury K-BASE is designed to integrate to Mercury Service Manager (although it can be used stand-alone if required) to provide an instant knowledge-base to your staff and service engineers. By easily cross-referencing equipment types, makes and model codes with knowledge-base articles that your staff or engineers create, information regarding equipment items is readily available and can even be co-located onto engineers laptop computers for reference out in the field. Any kind of document, such as images, PDF files, Word, Excel, text, etc. can be stored within the knowledge-base which means engineers can have instant access to error codes, wiring diagrams, service manuals, technical and installation guides the potential is limitless. A good knowledge-base used effectively, will reduce the need for repeat visits to customer sites because engineers can research and document specific problems in advance of the initial on-site visit.

Mercury K-BASE contains an extensive list of features, for example:-

System Requirements

We use the very latest Microsoft .NET software development tools therefore all software products developed by Hatchgate Software will run on client operating systems such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 (including 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems).

Minimum Recommended Specification:- Screen: Resolution of 1024x768 or higher Operating System: Windows XP / Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit versions) Internet access (for updates / maintenance), Email access (for full functionality)

For Mercury Service Manager and Mercury Stock Manager products:- Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or SQL Server 2012 (either full or 'Express' editions).  Note that you do NOT need to purchase SQL Server products as Microsoft supply a free version of SQL (called Express Edition) which is perfectly suited for use by small- to medium-sized companies, and can be installed on both pc's and server platforms.

For tailored software systems:- Either MS-SQL as above, or Open-Source MySQL if preferred
